Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

OthTech Switch helps you move supported files from one Windows computer to another and reports the result. It does not copy programs, Windows, drivers, licenses or saved credentials, and it never deletes data from your old computer.

The free plan is limited to 11 GB per migration. Paid plans are one-time purchases that apply to one migration (one source computer to one destination computer) and may be resumed or retried for a limited period. Prices and limits shown at the time of purchase apply to that purchase.

Refunds follow our Refund Policy. If a refund is issued, the license stops working for future use; files already transferred are never touched.

Installing and using the OthTech Switch app is also covered by the End User Licence Agreement, which the installer shows before anything is installed.

Only migrate data you are entitled to copy, keep your old computer until you have confirmed your data on the new one, and follow on-screen guidance. Retailers and businesses must obtain their customers' or employees' consent as required.

OthTech Switch transfers files directly between your own computers. The contents of your files, and their names and locations, are not sent to OthTech Solutions.

Basic operational information (app and Windows version, success or failure of steps, error codes, and totals such as file counts and sizes); license and order details if you buy a plan; and account details if you choose to create an account. You will be told what operational information is collected on first launch.

Detailed diagnostics are only shared if you choose to send them to support, and you can preview what's included first. Diagnostics files are stored encrypted, seen only by support staff working on your request, and deleted after 30 days.

If you turn on “Share anonymous usage statistics” in the app's Settings, it sends counts such as how long a migration took and whether it finished, tagged with a random install number rather than your name or account. Never file names or contents. You can turn it off at any time.

This website (switch.othtech.com — not the app) uses Google Analytics to count visits, see which pages are useful, and count steps such as downloading the installer, creating an account, signing in, contacting us and buying a plan (the plan and amount, never who bought it). Analytics cookies are set only if you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice; until then Google receives only anonymous measurements without cookies. Google Analytics doesn't receive your name, email, anything you type, your files or anything from the app, and we don't use it for advertising. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, licence keys and authenticator secrets are encrypted, and staff access to records is logged. We delete what we no longer need on a schedule: the text of emails we sent after 90 days, ended sessions and used links after 30 days, sign-in and download history and raw usage statistics after 400 days, and a closed account's name, email, phone and sign-in history 30 days after it is closed. Invoices and orders are kept for 8 years because GST law requires it. The full table is in your account under Settings → Your data.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. OthTech Solutions does not store card details.

You can use the free plan without an account. If you have one, Settings → Your data lets you download a copy of everything we hold about you, or delete your account straight away; you can also withdraw consent for optional data sharing at any time. These are your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For anything else, or a grievance, write to admin@othtech.com with “Privacy” in the subject — we reply within 7 days.
